| Starting software engineer Starting software engineer How do we best align our Warehouse Management System to the processes and wishes of the customer? As a software engineer, you take care of all customer-specific software adjustments and optimizations. Do you want to learn how to program? Do you like work with variety, challenge and visible results? And are you someone who is 100 percent committed to an assignment? Then you have everything you need to become a good software engineer. What will you do? A new routing for the order pickers provides more efficiency. The customer wants certain products to be stacked slightly differently to reduce transport costs. Or there is a need for a different layout on labels, so that the temperature can be stated. Whatever the wish or question: you take care of the necessary software adjustments. Sometimes alone, sometimes in a team. Most adjustments relate to our Warehouse Management System, but you also focus on other systems and, for example, interfacing and apps. You start with small, well-defined assignments. The assignments gradually become larger and more complex. Then there is also more coordination involved; both with the customer and with colleagues. Do you want to learn more about the technology? Or do you want to grow in the field of customer contact? Together we map out a development path that suits you. Training first You don’t have to master any software techniques or programming language to get started with us. To become a software engineer, you first follow an extensive training within our company. Then you will work under the guidance of an experienced colleague. This is how you make the job your own.
