Our client is an independent company, that provides accounting and reporting services for privately held non-listed Real Estate investment companies.
Our clients carry out business activities in property investment, development and related services in offices, business parks, shopping centres, public-healthcare and housing sector. Expertise in its different business lines means that our client is able to provide its clients with accounting and reporting services for entities and structures of entities.
Due to expansion in workload we are looking for a Senior Financial Accountant at senior experienced level, who can work independently for different clients with holding structures throughout Europe. You will work closely with the Managing Directors and other colleagues. The company's office is based closely to the city centre of Amsterdam.
Description
All tasks as written below are divided and determined by the technical managing director. Flexibility is required as priorities may vary in dynamic real estate portfolios and structures.
1. Reports directly to the technical managing director;
2. Acts within the accounting - reporting team under supervision of the managing director who is responsible for all reporting deliverables to clients;
3. Working on client portfolios / property companies and top companies, both accounting and reporting and where applicable assisting in consolidation process;
4. Assisting in quarterly consolidation reporting packages and related appointed tasks ;
5. Assisting in preparation of yearly consolidated annual accounts and related appointed tasks;
6. Liaising with auditors on audit matters; preparation of audit files, answering questions;
7. Liaising with coworking parties like tax advisors, other accounting firms, for mutual clients;
8. Preparation of (draft) stand-alone annual accounts;
9. Preparation of ad-hoc reporting requests.

The candidate is experienced in preparing periodic financial reporting, does not make assumptions, is very accurate and controls the work before delivery. The candidate has a good understanding of audit subjects and knows how to meet requests from auditors and coworking parties. Deliveries are taken care of with professional communication, meeting expectations and deadlines.
The candidate has a proactive approach and has a well developed sensitivity when and how to allign with the technical managing director. The candidate has experience with internal control systems and requirements.
The candidate is equipped with client awareness. Sensitivity in communication with clients and coworking parties, mostly abroad, is a must.
The candidate feels comfortable in working in a small company with required flexibility and is willing to learn by training on the job.
1. Educational level at relevant HBO+ level (Bachelor level + additional relevant reporting knowledge);
2. Beginning senior level in financial reporting;
3. Extended knowledge of and experience in GL accounting, knowledge of various reporting standards;
4. Experience in real estate accounting and reporting would be a plus;
5. Fluency in English in verbal and writing is necessary;
6. Mediate level German in verbal and writing would be a plus;
7. Working experience with online software tools is required;
8. Attention to detail and accuracy even under pressure;
9. Client awareness, ability to work closely together with coworking parties;
10. Structurized way of planning and organizing;
11. Excellent communication skills;
12. Excellent analytical skills;
13. Pro active hands on mentality;
