ABOUT THE ROLE
The Project Engineer will coordinate, monitor and schedule all design, implementation and test phases (up to the Factory Acceptance Test) required to the put in service of the system, meeting the contractual requirements, ensuring Quality (Q), Cost (C) and Delivery (D) defined for the project itself.
•Interfacing internal customer (Project Manager, Site Manager, Bid Manager, Buyer) and external customer with the purpose of managing the technical aspects of the project itself. For relations with the external customer, PE will operate with the coordination of the Project Manager and the Portfolio Engineer.
•Coordinate and support activities for the project by the various engineering specialist groups (within a matrix organization), as well as by external service providers for engineering and / or partners (Consortium or partnerships).
•Manage and interface other suppliers of the same external client whose systems / jobs are bound to the signalling system.
•Ensure compliance with operational, quality, environment and safety processes in the area of its own competence.
•Ensure appropriate technical support to certification bodies (ISA or NoBo) to obtain the necessary certifications (TSI certificates, CE certificate, ISA report).
•Accountable for the Engineering Management Plan, the Configuration Management Plan and the overall planning and proper execution of engineering activities of the project
•Defines the implementation of the project jointly with the PM and the Site Manager.
•Technically supports ITC activities.
•University degree or equivalent through experience.
•Project Engineering in railway company (or similar).
•Interdisciplinary technical background (traditional railway signalling, ERTMS, SCADA, power supply, data networks, civil works, etc.).
•Team Management experience.
•Safety knowledge, Quality and Configuration Management and installation knowledge (Telecommunication, EMC, cabling).
•English and Dutch (other languages are an advantage).
