Tasks and responsibilities
As a Process Engineer, you will be part of the Production and Process Engineering team within the Operations department. Through developing and maintaining manufacturing processes, workflows and equipment, this team enables the operations department to achieve its goals and satisfy customer’s needs. Additionally, the team is working on the creation of the “factory of the future”. By continuously improving processes, automating manual operations and by extending capabilities with innovative new processes, the team ensures AME’s competitive edge towards the future.
In the role of Process Engineer, you are responsible for developing (new) manufacturing processes and the continuous improvement of existing manufacturing processes within our factory; in particular, you will focus on processes related to the assembly of complex systems and modules with electronics.
Lead the introduction of new processes into the factory;
Setting up definitions of processes, FMEA’s and Control Plans
Implement working procedures, controls and training
Implement procedures for New Product Introductions (NPIs)
Define and realize process control methods
Analyze process performance and improve;
Analyze process performance on work center, process and equipment level
Set-up monitoring and control dashboards
Set improvement priority based on analysis results
Capability extension driven by vertical integration
Process improvement driven by quality and cost optimization
Process upgrade towards compliance with demanding industry standards (medical/automotive/aerospace)
Lead Process Engineering projects with the purpose of:

Job requirements
Required skills
Knowledge of processes and systems in a high-tech production environment
Experience with low- to medium-volume production in a high-mix setting
Experienced Lean / Six-sigma practitioner (minimum green belt)
Knowledge of methodologies such as FMEA, MSA, SPC, 8D
Knowledge of Electronics Manufacturing processes is considered a big plus, as is knowledge of Injection molding processes
Knows what it takes to implement and sustain process improvement
Personality skills
Pro-active attitude, takes initiative
Strong analytical skills
Systematic and structured approach, able to keep an overview
Good communicator, both towards management and towards the production floor
Fluent in English (writing and verbally), Dutch is considered a plus
Excellent automation skills (MS office)
Quality minded with a pragmatic approach
Can work independently and in a team
