Balancing is one of the key TSO measures for maintaining system security and a stable energy system. The product of balancing energy is uniquely required by system operators. For the efficient procurement and supply the TSO therefore has to define suitable market mechanisms. In particular, the goal is a cost efficient and reliable supply of balancing energy. In this department the procurement and settlement of balancing energy is conceptually designed and implemented in innovative IT systems in combination with the costumer’s contact to the Balance Supplying Partys (BSP, market party that also supplies balancing power to the TSO). In this role the cost control for balancing energy is performed from end to end.
In combination to the BSPs also the Balance Responsible Party (BRP, Energy trader/market party in the Netherlands) are managed as costumer relation. This includes the conceptual design of the BRP contracts as well as the digitalization of one face to the BRP and BSP costumers.
