global supply chain planner job description job title global supply chain planner reports to head of supply chain operations location headquarters woerden, netherlands context since 2005, i+solutions has provided services that support the procurement and distribution of essential medicines, supporting governments and organizations in their quest for creating sustainable access to medicines and health products. our activities span the entire spectrum of health supply chains in low- and middle-income countries. the global supply chain planner (gscp) is responsible for the planning and consolidation of medical products and pharmaceuticals. the aforementioned products will be sourced mainly from china and be transported to various low- and middle-income countries across the globe. the role of the gscp will be to identify supply chain solutions that maximise efficiency, both in terms of lead time and cost, whilst maintaining the integrity of the product responsibilities the gscp will work closely with our internal stakeholders (freight services, supply chain services, procurement & sourcing) to identify supply plans for individual countries, which will often require the consolidation of products from multiple suppliers. these supply plans will then be executed by our portfolio of pre-selected logistic service providers (lsps). specific responsibilities closely work with internal country representatives and suppliers to align demand and supply monitor the logistic market to stay abreast of prevailing market rates and capacities capacity planning, with lsps develop planning tools contract charter freight options via lsps drive efficiencies manage risk other task that might be required within i+solutions competencies strong organization skills with an eye for details an ability to plan, prioritize, and implement long range strategies in a fast moving, dynamic, and time-bound environment strong negotiation skills, contracting, and service-level agreement management experience at a senior level hands-on mentality excellent written and verbal communication with a strong sense of customer service solution-oriented with a high sense of quality, attention to detail, accuracy, efficiency it proficient and a proven ability to work with erps and other similar software team player who is also able to work independently and handle conflicting priorities while maintaining consistent, quality performance standards analytical capacity and insight into business processes, both in the industry and in the business policy arena qualifications 10 years of work experience in international transport, including multi-model shipping educational level at least hbo (3rd level education) fluency in english and another business language preferred experience in working with china (preference) what we offer working in a great team and a pleasant atmosphere a drive for purpose and a multi-cultural environment teaming with professionals that put passion into our mission good compensation package and excellent opportunities for personal development apply now please apply with your cv and motivation letter via firstname.lastname@example.org .
