Then we are looking for you! As Global Application Engineer you are part of a team which is responsible for the global IT Infrastructure of Stahl. You are responsible for installing, upgrading and maintaining the complete life cycle of Stahls globally used applications. Interacting with suppliers and key users is part of the role. You also act as the 3rd line support for our local IT engineers around the globe. You will report to the Global IT Infrastructure Manager. What will you do as Global Application Engineer? Act as the 3rd line for application support for all local IT departments. Responsible for the application guidelines, procedures and users manuals Responsible managing application authorization and keeping the application security Advising all IT departments and business users on application solutions and application life-cycle. Thinking along and consult the Global IT Team on possible global software solutions. General responsibilities: Rollout and configuration of globally used applications. Setup and manage globally used applications. Handling of incidents on a user level within global applications. Initiate updates & keep the documentation up to date. Life cycle management of the various applications. Business user contacts. Training of business users. Project management for application rollout projects. Your experience and skills: HBO level of thinking and at least 3 years experience in application management & support. Knowledge of web server products (IIS, Apache, etc.) Knowledge of relational databases (MS-SQL, MySQL, etc.) Knowledge of scripting languages (Batch, VBS, PowerShell, etc) Knowledge of system interfaces. Knowledge of application security. Basic knowledge of different operating systems (Windows & Linux) Basic knowledge of programming languages (PHP, .NET, JAVA, etc.) Knowledge of/ experience with ITIL processes & Prince II project management. Microsoft certification is a pre. Knowledge of MS SharePoint is a pre. Good communication skills in Dutch and English, with the ability to liaise with staff from both a technical and service perspective and articulate technical problems into “end user”. Ability to consult the business on matters where IT systems could play a role in solving the issue. Able to translate business user requirements in IT functionality.
