A financial controller analyzes/reports and improves the financial operation of the company. Contributes in the monthly cycle of forecasting sales and profit by product group and is responsible for month end close procedures.
International group in the electronics (B2B) industry with headquarters in Amsterdam.
- Planning & Closing
Responsible for generating the monthly forecast for the coming 3-4 months, including collection of sales prices, cost of goods sold (purchase) prices and overhead expenses. Explain variances and trends by product group where needed. Submit reviewed monthly forecast to global headquarters.
Together with the Finance department, responsible for month end closing procedures and cost allocations.
- Budget management
Manage and control the budgets in line with the rules and regulations of the company. Monitor and identify exceptional expenses, and review cost trends by general ledger account.
Maintain SAP sales deduction budgets.
- Reports & Support
Create financial reports for management, to ensure a correct and transparent information-flow on which decisions can be made. Filter relevant information from available data, analyze the relevant information and create reports.
Act as financial business partner and support to other departments (for example on analysis of environmental or intercompany charges).
Respond to various ad-hoc request.
- Bachelor degree
- Minimum of 3 to 5 year experience
- Financial background
- Fluent in English
- Good communication skills
- Experienced in Excel
- Common accounting principles (good knowledge)
- Preferably experience from SAP (finance and/or Sales module)
- Team spirit and independent worker
- Able to identify opportunities for improvement and suitable solutions
