Fashion BV – Catwalk Junkie & Kultivate Creative Manager Ladieswear Classic team For a leading vertical retail organisation based in Turkey with strong global growth, we are searching for a Creative Manager Ladieswear Classic team. The Creative Manager's main responsibility is to determine the trends suitable for the YOUNGER Womenswear group, and to present these to the Product Management team. Equally importantly, the Creative Manager will coach and mentor the Design teams to make sure they build collections suitable for the target customers (YOUNGER WOMEN). The creative manager is located in Istanbul and reports to the Design Director. Key duties and responsibilities -Researching lifestyles, cultures, and fashion and product expectations of target customer groups, determining the differences between these life styles, cultures and expectations, and using this data efficiently in the entire design process. - Determining trends which may be suitable for target customer groups in the next season in the light of inspirational brands, competitor brands, trend magazines, the Internet, and current media; and presenting these trends to the Buying Team in the seasonal range plan and strategy meeting in conjunction with the Designers. - Acting as a coordinator in the process for preparing line boards and colour palettes based on phases, providing necessary coaching for Designers in this process. - Researching categories expected to be trendy in the next season, categories expected to be off-trend and new trend by category, specifying them and submitting to teams. -Determining which trends fall under acceptable new fashion or risky fashion and submitting them to teams. - Ensuring consistent brand and colour image among different buying groups. - Providing recommendations to Buying, Planning and Design teams on determining range plan and design strategies. - Checking whether prepared designs are suitable before presenting them to Buying / - - Product Management, providing recommendations when necessary. - Providing necessary coaching and mentoring for relevant Designers. - Creative Manager will also be responsible for checking colour and style coordination of tops, bottoms and outerwear prepared by different Designers based on lines and for providing necessary recommendations. - Determining customer demands, which are not currently met although they are on trend and requested, on a weekly basis by conducting store and competitor store visits within the season, and meeting customers and store representatives. Making style and design recommendations upon these demands and submitting these recommendations to Buying and Design teams. - Determining training needs of the Design Team, and providing necessary trainings in line with these needs. Determining needs for tools such as magazines, software, hardware that can improve performance or productivity of the Design Team, and proposing them to the Buying Director. -Coaching Designers when required by them to rectify / improve pre-production samples and offering technical support to avoid production problems / quality issues. - Ensuring designs meet children’s safety standards. Informing designers and buyers in case of any non-conformity. - Attending trend style fitting sessions and providing recommendations. - Providing recommendations on fair and shopping plans and mentoring Designers in shopping and fair visits upon request. - Choosing products and combining them in the process for photo shoots, the Internet and catalogue shoots, and fulfilling the styling duty when necessary. - Provide the Visual Merchandising Department with support and necessary briefs/ information to prepare windows, displays and internal exhibition. - Provide timely information and coaching regarding new collections (lines) to the related Accessories Department and swimwear - Updating the lines and products according to the bestsellers and missed trends and monitoring them constantly.
