Looking for a Sales Manager Retail (experience with Ahold) for an international FMCG A-Brand (small sales office in the Netherlands)
A great opportunity has become available to join the John West Sales team in Holland. The John West brand is Market- and Brand-Leader in the Dutch market. To expand the position of John West on the competitive Dutch market we are searching for a Sales Manager (SM) Benelux. The SM is accountable for the total sales on the Dutch market but also for some Key Accounts like Ahold, Jumbo buying, Siperunie HQ. The SM is accountable for developing a strategic plan and delivering business performance expectations relating to volume, value and in particular profit targets whilst balancing the strategic and operational needs of the customer.
John West is located in Utrecht.
- Responsible for total sales Benelux and 60% of the total JW Holland sales in terms of Key Accounts. Dealing with Key Accounts for pricing and conditions and maintain and expand good relationships at all accounts.
- Build and deliver long term strategic sales plan to grow the John West Business including RE strategy and 5P plan.
- Responsible for Tonnes, NSV and Marginal Contribution for Dutch Market. Specific targets on Tonnes, NSV the Key Accounts under your responsibility.
- Total P&L (Gross Profit level) accountability for John West
- Lead cross functional relationships and call upon the full resources within the John West / Thai Union business to support the delivery of core objectives
- Develop, negotiate, execute and track the delivery of a joint annual business plan with the customer that underpins the Sales and Brand strategy achievement within that Customer.
- Effectively negotiate, manage, track and invest Customer / Category D&A to achieve the maximum return for both John West and the customer in order to achieve company sales budgets.

- Proven FMCG selling experience inclusive of a brand leader (experience with Ahold)
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Very strong Commercial acumen and analytical skills
- Can demonstrate a personal level of passion, pride, determination and resilience to succeed
- Adaptable & positive attitude toward a changing and ambiguous environment
- A very strong team player
- Fluent in Dutch and English
