Looking for a Sales Manager Retail (experience with Ahold is a must) for a a-brand organisation in food. You are responsible for several key accounts and you are responsible for a team of three Account Managers.

As Sales Manager for the Bel Group you lead and develop long-term relationships with a specific group of key customers in The Netherlands. In collaboration with your sales team you realize profitable and strategic growth opportunities for the company. You are responsible for translating the business unit plan into a sales strategy. In addition, you lead the Dutch sales team and you help maintain and build the positive atmosphere of the department. In a team you guarantee the execution of the sales plan and you report on volumes, costs and returns. In this position you are responsible for sales and profit for your customer group (customer P & L). You translate the sales strategy into specific account plans, implement these and anticipate on potential opportunities and threats. In addition, you know how to use the strengths of your team members and help them to develop themselves. Together with the Category Manager, you develop the cheese category of your customer and you ensure the profitable growth of the Bel market shares. You are also responsible for the volume forecast of your customers. In this position you report to the Sales Director Benelux.
To excel in this position, we require at least a completed Bachelor degree in Commercial Economics or comparable. You bring a minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience, preferably gained with an A-brand within the FMCG sector. You have strong knowledge of the retail market in the Netherlands. You are able to professionally represent the company at retailers. You invest in understanding the business of your customer and you transform your expectations and wishes of the customers into a profitable partnership. You have an entrepreneurial mindset and are able to create win-win situations. A flexible working attitude, financial & analytical insight and knowledge of joint business planning will support your and the success of the company.
You are fluent in Dutch, you master the English language, French language is an advantage.
