What you’ll be doing...
The network specialist is required to perform theirduties aspart of theBenelux Center supporting the Benelux region. The department responsibilities are also partly being performed in a 24x7 environment. Your responsibility/job requirement can therefore include beingscheduled forout-of-hours 24x7 shift duty being either full-time, part-time,holiday or illness cover.
The following tasks are part of the function:
Field Network Support
Perform remote support to our operations technician/engineers
Perform remote support to our thirdparty vendors and carriers providing field services on Verizon’s behalf
Perform and coordinate local/remote testing for delivery and repair activities
Troubleshoot network and customer technical issues and work directly with our carrier for resolution if and when required
Act as a SME for our local network and customer premise equipment and infrastructure
Coordinate local repair activities and drive to resolution based on set priorities
Assist field staff with issues (contacting colleagues in other departments/customer/technical questions, etc.). Maintain good contact with the engineers/customers and other relevant departments.
Perform Circuit Design activities for our network using the Verizon tool
Create network and customer circuit designs based on order information and network inventory tools
Create hardware and software tasks based on the circuit design requirement
Handle fallout tickets and work with our systems and IT to resolve.
Dispatches include, but are not limited to: Trouble tickets, installations, preventative maintenance, disconnect & scheduled activities
Ticket/order/work request validation needs to be performed and ensure requirements are met for dispatching. Check all orders and work requests for completeness and solve issues or reject if not possible
Efficiently dispatching based on prioritization to the available technicians/engineers
Monitor repair queues and take corrective action if and when required
Arrange access to Verizon/customer/other locations where applicable
Ensure proper assistance and communication is provided towards our internal and external customers/suppliers.
Ensure all our systems are updated with comments, correct dates according to our processes. Systems include, but are not limited to PC, ProQuest, F&E, RMO, UOTM, EASR, LOD, Cameo etc.
Provide readable and clear updates to support internal and external organization to ensure easy progress of workflow.
What we’re looking for...
Qualifications and Experiences
Requires a broad range of skills within a technicaldiscipline to effectively perform complex assignments; requires familiarity with principles, theories, concepts and technologies as well as applied knowledge of established procedures, policies and practices.
Several years operational experience in the telecommunications or ICT industries
Engineering degree or similar
Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask, balancing competing priorities
Analytical and problem solving skills
Strong facilitation and task completion skills
Good customer communication skills
Capability to work independently in a regional team
Project Management (desired)
Fluent in English and Nederlandse(written and verbal)
PC Literate (E-mail, MS Office Suite).
