What will you do?
The IT department within Randstad Groep Nederland supports our three brands (Randstad, Tempo Team and Yacht). We have 24 devops teams, working on all kind of developments to enhance our business. We work on great customer experience for our clients and jobseekers, we provide state of the art tools for our employees and invest a lot in cool data analytics capabilities. We want to be data driven in a human world. Like, our smart talent recommender, which can select the right candidate for the job within seconds. We also modernize our core, by breaking down legacy systems in smaller applications, and by bringing all our applications to the cloud.
As Enterprise Architect you’ll be our technical leader. You'll provide guidance for our 24 agile devops teams, and support the leadership team with your technical expertise.
Being this technical leader of Randstad Groep IT, you will be shaping our future Enterprise Architecture together with our scrum teams by:
Providing architectural guidance to and scrum team Technical Leads
Leading, facilitating and objectifying cross-team discussions
Creating business-enabling visions together with PO’s and Technical Leads
Elaborating decisions made into actionable designs, roadmaps and policies
Coordinating and tracking execution with Technical Leads and Product Owners
Liaise with other cross-team chapters (e.g. Security, Product Owner, Scrum Master)
Intellectual challenge: transforming our business, our technology as well as ourselves
Where do you work?
At our head office in Diemen. 24 DevOps teams work in this dynamic environment on the continuous development of our advanced application landscape. Seventy percent of this is Java-based. Our teams work with Scala, Elasticsearch, Python, Docker and Airflow. All our systems will eventually run in AWS.
What should you bring to the table (requirements)
Proven hands-on Software Development experience (Java, C, C++, or other high level languages)
Proven working experience in J2EE development
Hands on experience in designing and developing applications using Java EE platforms
Object oriented analysis and design using common design patterns
Extensive experience with enterprise architecture best practices and goals
Experience with deploying applications in a Cloud environment
Experience with source code control systems and CI/CD tools & frameworks
Creative in cross-team solution design and cross-team collaboration
External orientation: bringing concepts and insights in from outside of Randstad
Having lived and breathed agile and understanding the challenge of scaling it out
Reasoning outside-in, always taking the business and end-user perspectives first
Able to objectify architecture decisions and sensitive to deeper motivations of people
Feeling for when to be pragmatic and what to ‘keep clean at all cost’
Excellent communication, verbally, visually and written. Preferably English and Dutch.
Able to build up trust with PO’s, the Scrum Teams and Senior Management (MT)
