Our client is also a major CO2 Quota holder under the EU F-Gas Regulation scheme. As a result, they have developed significant expertise on the EU F-Gas Regulation, the management of CO2 Quotas, and a network of companies looking to trade Authorisations under the Scheme.
We have an exciting and challenging new position for a Carbon Sales / Trader in a new and evolving carbon trading market. You will create your own business and client portfolio by networking and building long-term relationships. Your business will be focused on brokering deals between the sellers and buyers of CO2 Authorisations under the EU F-Gas Regulation Scheme. You will be required to research who the players on the sell and buy side are and connect as a broker to manage their CO2 allocations.
The new role will work within an exciting new company which will be supported by the team who can offer specialist market knowledge to support the growth of the new company.
I am looking for an experienced Sales / Trader who is ambitious, innovative and team oriented; this highly valued role will require an intelligent professional with a commercial skillset and an entrepreneurial spirit.
Sales trading is a people-centred profession, it is focussed on collaboration and building relationships that are mutually beneficial. Our ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate how they have recently done this within the carbon sector.
They will have an eye for detail and understand the landscape within the market including product knowledge, business challenges, legislative changes, and financial drivers.
The requirements include:
- Fluent in Business English, a 2nd language would also be desirable
- 3-5 years' recent experience in a sales trading role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong numerical skills
- Ability to work independently where required
- Strong entrepreneurial skills
- Commercial focus
